Biffle could be this weekend’s best bet

While does not make recommendations regarding gambling, this weekend offers the opportunity for that practice to occur at a track where it would be perfectly legal. And if one were inclined to wager on the outcome of Sunday’s Kobalt Tools 400 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Greg Biffle might very well be the best bet to place.

Biffle comes into the third race on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule riding somewhat of a hot streak. In the season’s first couple of outings the Vancouver, Washington native has posted two very solid 3rd place results. And more, history would seem to be on the side of said pick.

While Biffle’s own record at the LVMS reveals that he has never won but has scored a top-5 and five top-10s, it’s the organization he drives for that offers reason for optimism. Roush Fenway Racing has made the trip to victory lane at this 1.5 mile facility in the Nevada desert seven times with drivers Mark Martin(winner of the inaugural race held here in 1998), Jeff Burton(1999 & 2000), Matt Kenseth(2003 & 2004) and most recently Carl Edwards(2008 & 2011).

With Biffle and the #16 team coming in on a good roll, it would seem to be his turn to take an RFR Ford to the winner’s circle in ‘Sin City’.

So, even though this piece was not written to encourage you to risk your hard earned money, if you choose to do so you might want to give Greg Biffle some consideration. At least he is my pick to win based on the way he has started this season and the past record of his team on this track.
