Will Aric Almirola drive for Hendrick in 2010?

The title of this blog may seem a bit far fetched but think of the pattern that has been established here.
Last year, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. announced he would be leaving the DEI #8 car to drive for Hendrick Motorsports in 2008.
This year, it has been reported that Mark Martin will leave the DEI #8 car to drive for Hendrick Motorsports in 2009. Do you see the pattern taking shape?
It seems like the #8 car has become a training ground for a move to Hendrick Motorsports.
Do you want to drive for the most successful team in racing over the last 10 years or so? Well, get yourself into DEI’s #8 car, then you’ll get to move to the most successful team soon afterwards.
It’s Aric Almirola’s turn next. He may not have the career statistics of Mark Martin or Junior but he is about to fulfill a necessary requirement. Next year, he will become the full time driver of #8, so he’s on his way.
There you have it. It may seem like a stunning prediction but you’ll be able to say you knew a year ahead of time because you followed the pattern and could see where it was leading.
