Montoya should not be punished

Juan Pablo Montoya should not be punished for what he did to Kyle Busch.NASCAR should not do anything more than the 2 lap penalty they already gave him because that cost him enough. He finished 32nd which caused him to lose both points and money. So, the 2 lap penalty served as a fine and a points penalty.
As I have said before when Rich has allowed me to blog on this site, I have turned into a bit of a Kyle Busch fan, but I’m not going to let that cloud my judgment.
The reason Montoya should not be punished any further is because NASCAR would be going against what it said before the season started. Remember, they came out with that ‘let the drivers be themselves’ thing. Montoya felt like he had been done wrong so he decided to react right then rather than run to the cameras and microphones and whining about Busch racing him too hard. Or, he didn’t go throw one of those sissy punches and then run to hide behind the biggest crew member he could find.
He did something to handle the situation right then and there. I like that.
If another car had been involved other than Montoya and Busch then I would think Montoya should get some other penalty, but no other car was involved. NASCAR has made a living of making calls on the fly so why not make one in this case. It’s a bad idea to just have hard and fast rules and not have any flexibility.
NASCAR has been lacking drivers with some flare and spice. That’s why I’ve started liking Kyle Busch because he’s not afraid to be who he is. Who he is may not be the ideal for some people but at least he is not a pretender. Neither is Juan Pablo Montoya. He was upset in this instance and he wasn’t afraid to let it show.
Back in the day of Petty, Yarborough and the Allisons something like this would have been a normal occurrence and after the fight they would’ve just moved on to the next race. There is no need for any more penalty than has already been handed out.

FIRST OFF: na$car doesnt make decisions on the fly : they calculate very carefully how much money they will lose before they fine anybody important !!
Since juan problem doesnt have as big a fan base i look for him to be fined quite heavily , Although i bet there are alot more PABLO fans this tuesday than last tuesday , AND maybe all us new fans should take up a collection to help pay for the fine …i know id pay 5 $ a week to see kyle put in his place !

Montoya was just “communicating” with Kyle “The Child” Busch. Busch can dish it out…..

While I think Montoya deserved a bigger punishment, I find myself liking the guy more today than I did a week ago.
