July 16, 2008- Morristown, TN.

Bill Sanders, President and Founder of the Tennessee Motor Racing Hall of Fame announces the opening of the Hall of Fame Race Shop located at 161 West Main Street in Historic Downtown Morristown.

“We are pleased to make this announcement today concerning the retail phase of the Racing Hall of Fame project. The Race Shop is our direct offering of NASCAR licensed merchandise from the top vendors including MotorSports Authentics driver apparel and collectible die-cast cars, WinCraft driver novelties, Blakeway track panoramas, and Team-Up International radio-controlled Sprint Cup cars. We offer a full line of NASCAR licensed “trackside” items that are only available at such venues as Bristol Motor Speedway and vendor authorized dealers”, comments Sanders.

Another unique feature of the shop is the free use for customers of a PC racing simulator using EA Sports NASCAR software including a Logitech steering wheel and throttle petals. “If you have ever wanted to test your driving skills in a NASCAR stock car at such tracks as Daytona or Bristol, this is the place to visit”, states Sanders.

Plans call for a special display featuring former Cup Champion and local favorite Rusty Wallace. The Race Shop will “special order” merchandise for any of the top NASCAR drivers and teams based on vendor availability. Items will also be available for area UT Football fans and Lady Vols Basketball fans. Call or stop by for details.

Hours of operation will be 9am-4pm Monday-Friday and extended hours during Bristol Race week in August. Store phone number is (423) 586-1077 and additional updates on the Race Shop and Hall of Fame project can be found on our website www.tnracinghalloffame.com.
