‘Southern Nationals’ at Volunteer Speedway- July 25

Rusty Wallace Toyota of Morristown presents ‘Southern Nationals’ on Friday, July 25 at Volunteer Speedway

BULLS GAP, Tenn. — The O’Reilly Southern Nationals Series presented by Rusty Wallace Toyota of Morristown will be in action at Volunteer Speedway on Friday, July 25 for a $5,300-to-win … $530-to-start Super Late Model show, featuring many of the top dirt late model competitors from around the Southeast such as Chris Madden of Gray Court, S.C.; Jimmy Owens of Newport, Tenn.; Dennis “Rambo” Franklin of Gaffney, S.C.; Brandon Kinzer of Allen, Ky.; Tony Knowles of Tyrone, Ga.; Brian Booze of Marion, Pa.; Ronny Lee Hollingsworth of Northport, Ala.; Ethan Hunter of Tiger, Ga.; Casey Roberts of Toccoa, Ga., John Gill of Mitchell, Ind., plus several others.

Heading the drivers expected to be present from the Volunteer State will be four-time (1997, ’98, 2000 and ’05) Volunteer Speedway track champion Vic “The Thrill” Hill of Morristown, defending track champion Kerry Jones of Bristol, Jeff Maupin of Greeneville, Shanon Buckingham of Morristown, Mike Smith of Rogersville, Bryan Hendrix of Knoxville, Skip Arp of Georgetown, Shon Flanary of Mount Carmel, Michael Jackson of Greeneville, Mark Douglas of Knoxville, Rick Rogers of Knoxville, Tommy Kerr of Maryville, Anthony White of Clinton, Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, Randy Weaver of Crossville, Dale Ball of Johnson City, Chad Ogle of Sevierville, Steve Smith of Powell, Herman Goddard of Knoxville, Joe Armes of Petros, Mark Vineyard of Powell, John King II of Kingsport, Shane Roberts of Bluff City, Bobby Mays of Jonesborough, Marty Calloway of Maynardville, and many more.

Also racing besides the Super Late Models will be “Courtesy Chevrolet” Crate Late Models, “Rusty Wallace Toyota” Hobby Stocks, IMCA Open Wheel Modifieds and “Century 21 Masengill-McCrary Realtors” Mini Stocks.

For fans who attended racing at “The Gap” on Saturday, July 19, if you bring your grandstand ticket back on Friday, July 25 … present it at the ticket booth and you will be admitted for only $5. That’s right, just $5 adult grandstand admission!!!

Otherwise, adult grandstand admission on Friday, July 25 will be $20, youth (ages 10-15) $5, with kids 9-and-under admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Pit passes and backside tier-parking $30.
