Fulmer’s fate is sealed at Tennessee

Phillip Fulmer has been the head football coach at the University of Tennessee on a full time basis since 1993. That run is about to come to an end.
Fulmer led the Volunteers to a national title in 1998 but championships have not come with the frequency UT fans would like since then. As a matter of fact, championships have not come at all since then. Not even a conference crown has been seen in Knoxville over the last ten years.
Saturday’s loss to Alabama may have sealed the coach’s fate in the minds of some, but according to a highly placed source, his fate was sealed well before that game every kicked off.
