Friday Night Fights set for another round on May 22 at Bulls Gap

‘Rusty Wallace Toyota’ presents $3,000-to-win Super Late Model ‘Friday Night Fights’ on Friday, May 22 at Volunteer Speedway

BULLS GAP, Tenn. — Rusty Wallace Toyota of Morristown proudly presents round three of “Friday Night Fights” on Friday, May 22 at Volunteer Speedway. Tommy Kerr of Maryville won round one, and Vic “The Thrill” Hill of Morristown was the winner of round two? Who will win round three?

Highlighting the racing program will be a $3,000-to-win, 50-lap main event for “TSC Cars” Super Late Models; plus Fastrak Racing Series-sanctioned Pro Late Model (25 laps), Steel-Head Late Model (25 laps) and “McDonald’s” Hobby Stock (20 laps) features. There will be a $100 entry fee for “TSC Cars” Super Late Models at Friday Night Fights.

The pit gate will open at 4 p.m. and the grandstands at 5 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be held in the backside pits at 7 p.m., with hotlaps tentatively scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., to be followed by qualifying and then featuring racing action.

Adult grandstand admission on Friday, May 22 for Friday Night Fights presented by Rusty Wallace Toyota of Morristown will be $12 ($10 if you print $2 discount coupon from the Volunteer Speedway Web site), youth (ages 14-15) $5, with kids 13-and-under admitted free in the grandstands. Pit passes and backside tier-parking $25.

Directions to Volunteer Speedway: South on Interstate 81 from Tennessee/Virginia state lines, take Exit 23 (Bulls Gap/Greeneville), then turn right onto Hwy. 11-E at bottom of the exit ramp. Look for track entrance approximately 200 yards on left.

North on Interstate 81 from I-81/I-40 split (East of Knoxville, TN), take Exit 23, then turn left onto Hwy. 11-E at bottom of the exit ramp. Continue underneath the interstate over-pass and track entrance approximately 300 yards ahead on left.
